Beale in Bond 23?

Industry insiders are predicting that the next James Bond film – “Bond 23” should go into production towards the end of 2011, with a worldwide release date to be November 2012.

2012 marks the 50th annivesary of the release of the first Bond film – “Dr No”.

British director Sam Mendes is set to direct, and production designer is to be the great Dennis Gassner who did a brilliant job with “Quantum Of Solace” – Bond 22! Daniel Craig is of course returning as Bond.

Mendes is a close pal of English stage great Simon Russell Beale (currently appearing on the West End in the hit revival of “Deathtrap” – and whom I adored in the National Theatre production of “London Assurance”). Beale is rumoured to be considered for a role as a Bond villian – what a camp treat that will be as far as I am concerned.
